Along the Italian Riviera, Cinque terre stand out as a gorgeous stretch of rugged and unspoiled coast, cherished by the five picturesque fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso.
As sea pearls, Cinque Terre are enclosed by steep mountains and valleys on one side and brushed by the sea on the other and this position have let them being inaccessible and isolated for centuries. Nowadays, due to their great value, they are protected as a World Heritage Site and by a National Park.
With our competent tour guide you’ll be able to discover the breathtaking coastline.
Manarola will be your first contact with this earth paradise; after having free time to visit the village, we’ll continue with a short train ride to RIOMAGGIORE where you will have some free time before the lovely boat journey (weather permitting) which take us to MONTEROSSO. The bigger village: Monterosso is renowned for its beautiful beach and small craftsman’s shops. Here a chance to enjoy a swim in the Mediterranean sea or popping into some of the picturesque shops. A delicious local lunch will be served in a typical restaurant with a perfect view of the sea and the hills. After lunch, we’ll continue our itinerary by train to VERNAZZA, one of the prettiest of all, where we will have free time to sit in one of the cheerful bars and cafés. From Vernazza a train ride takes us back to La Spezia concluding our Cinque Terre visit, before returning to Florence by coach.
