Description
We will start our tour from Lucca with the visit of the medieval village of Montecarlo. The medieval borough is perched on a hill and you can easily see there its glorious castle with its surrounding walls from the valley.
A pleasant walk along the village and then we’ll reach our farm where you’ll be introduced in the secrets of the extra-virgin olive oil production. You will discover that the territory of Montecarlo is ideal for the growth of olive trees and vineyards because of an exceptional combination of the excellent quality of the soil together with micro-climates. It’s a tradition that dates back in time.
The guide will explain to you the olives harvest and how they are pressed to get you ready for the tasting. Here you’ll have the opportunity to appreciate the typical ‘bruschetta’ with fresh pressed extra-virgin olive oil. The owner of the farm is also one of the biggest producers of Montecarlo wine. That is why you will have the possibility to combine the Italian bruschetta with the best Montecarlo red and white DOC wines.
With the wine experience, a delicious light lunch* will be served in the nearby renowned restaurant. A mouth-watering Tuscan appetizer, a delicious pasta as first course and an exquisite Italian genuine dessert!
